Ce travail s'inscrit dans le cadre de recherches sur l'articulation entre logique et raisonnement mathématique dans une perspective didactique.
Dans la première partie de l'exposé, on présente les éléments d'une étude théorique sur le formalisme mathématique. Dans la deuxième partie on presente une formalisation logique des objets et des structures qui interviennent dans la définition d'un objet mathématique.

Selon Sinaceur (1991), la logique ne sert pas à fonder les mathématiques, mais contribue à les comprendre, jouant ainsi le rôle d'une " épistémologie effective orientée vers l'agir ". Ce point de vue est conforté par un certain nombre de résultats issus de mes propres travaux concernant la place et le rôle de la logique pour analyser les énoncés et les raisonnements mathématiques.

Ce travail présente une analyse des rapports entre preuve et connaissance à travers une notion mathématique : La symétrie orthogonale (abordée dans une situation de construction d'une preuve). Nous nous proposons d'éclairer la distance cognitive qui puisse exister chez les élèves, entre la construction géométrique et la géométrie théorique à partir de la spécification des connaissances.

Notre thèse, de nature exploratoire, porte sur la démonstration dans le domaine de l'enseignement et de la formation et plus précisément dans les Centres Pédagogiques Régionaux. Notre premier objectif a été d'élaborer un modèle d'analyse d'une démonstration en géométrie plane. Notre second objectif a été d'appliquer ce modèle d'analyse dans des Centres de formation des enseignants du collège (11-15 ans).
